JSON Compare with AI Explanation

Paste two versions of a JSON document. Our server finds every added, removed and changed value, then AI explains what the changes mean and flags ones that may break code using the JSON. Only the list of differences is sent to the AI.

Both documents are compared on our server. Only the list of differences (paths and changed values) is sent to an AI provider, never the whole documents. Nothing is stored.

How to use JSON Compare with AI Explanation

  3. Review. Read the summary, key changes and possible breaking changes.

  • Each document up to 500,000 characters. At most 200 differences (12,000 characters) are explained.
  • A daily number of AI requests per visitor, shared by all AI tools, plus an overall daily budget for the site.
  • Needs our server and an AI provider. AI answers can be wrong, so check them before you rely on them.
Privacy
Your input is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate the result.

Troubleshooting

"Original JSON is not valid JSON"

The error gives the line and column. Fix it there, or use the JSON Error Explainer to see what is wrong.

"You have reached today's limit for AI tools"

The daily AI allowance is used up. The message says when it resets; browser-based tools keep working meanwhile.

"The AI gave an answer in the wrong format"

The model's reply could not be read. Click the button again; it usually works on the second try.

JSON Compare lists every difference in your browser. This tool also explains them with AI and flags risky changes, using our server.

What is sent to the AI?

Only the list of differences, with paths and the changed values. The full documents are compared on our server and not stored.

Which AI does it use?

A provider such as OpenAI, with Anthropic as a backup, chosen by us. Your text is processed to write the answer and is not stored by us.

Is it free?

Yes. Each visitor gets a number of AI requests per day, shared across all AI tools, so the service stays free.
