JSON to CSV Converter
Paste a JSON object or an array of objects and get RFC 4180 CSV back. Nested objects are flattened into dot-path columns, and everything runs locally in your browser — your data is never uploaded.

Formats, limits and privacy

- CSV
- Limits
- Input must be a JSON object or an array of objects; an array of plain values is rejected.
- Nested objects become dot-path columns; arrays stay as JSON text in one cell.
- No fixed size limit; very large inputs depend on your device's memory.
- Privacy
- Everything happens in your browser. Your input is never uploaded to a server.
Troubleshooting
Excel puts everything in one column
Excel in many European locales expects semicolons. Choose the semicolon delimiter, or import the file with Data > From Text/CSV and pick the delimiter there.
Accented characters look wrong in Excel
Open the file through Data > From Text/CSV and choose UTF-8 as the file origin instead of double-clicking it.
Long numbers turn into 1.23E+15 in a spreadsheet
That is the spreadsheet's display format, not the CSV. Import the column as Text to keep every digit.
Frequently asked questions
Is my JSON uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
How are nested objects handled?
Nested objects are flattened into columns named by path, such as "address.city". Arrays are kept as a JSON string in a single cell so each record stays one row.
What if records have different keys?
The header is the union of all keys in first-seen order; records missing a key get an empty cell.
Are commas and quotes in values handled?
Yes. Cells containing the delimiter, quotes or line breaks are quoted and embedded quotes are doubled, per RFC 4180.
